Recently, Kobe-Ya, an Asian owned restaurant in Alameda, California had their front window smashed. Although the perpetrator's motive is unknown, there is no coincidence that they specifically attacked an Asian owned business. The insurance company said that it would cost $3000 to repair the broken window, and it doesn't seem fair for the owner to pay for the damages out of pocket. We as a community need to show that we stand with Kobe-Ya and the Asian community against prejudice and racism that still exist in our country.
