Kobe is my 4-year-old rescue dog from Aruba, and he’s been a joyful, energetic part of our family since we brought him home at one year old. He spends his days running and playing with his two younger sisters, always full of life and love. Recently, Kobe started limping, and it quickly became clear something was wrong. After a visit to our vet and some X-rays, we learned that Kobe has torn his ACL and MCL in his left knee, and has a slight ACL tear in his right knee as well. This was a complete shock to us, as Kobe has always been so active and healthy. The vet explained that he’ll need major surgery to repair both knees so he can get back to the life he loves. The cost for both surgeries is overwhelming, and we want to do everything we can to help Kobe heal without putting him through too much stress at once. We plan to start with his left knee and address the right knee once he’s stronger, about 8-10 weeks later. We’re reaching out to our community for help because we want to give Kobe the best chance at a full recovery. Your support will go directly toward his surgeries and care, and every bit truly makes a difference. Please help Kobe get his active life back—thank you so much for your kindness and support.
