Help Koa have the life he deserves!

Friends,
Koa (meaning "warrior") was found at a dumpster, eyes shut from an infection and a badly injured paw. I rushed to get him to a safe place because I knew that there would be something special about this little creature. Over the last month, I have nursed his paw, which we now know had been bitten off, administered drops to his eyes, feed him, cleaned him and most importantly, shown him a safe home filled with love and comfort.
On 2/9 Koa had his front right leg amputated. He is healing beautifully and enjoying all the activities that kittens do! Unfortunately, he is not out of the woods with his eyes. One eye needs to be removed and the other eye is in danger of needing removal. St. Croix does not have an ophthalmologist and this means I will have to take little Koa off the island. We are racing against time as each day jeopardizes his eyesight. I have taken responsibility for Koas medical care thus far, with the help of some kind friends. The surgery and travel cost for saving his other eye is beyond my means and I am humbly reaching out for help.
This sweet soul has endured a tough start to life. Losing a limb and one eye is already a challenge and the thought of Kao losing all sight breaks my heart.
This little warrior is loved by many, and in return, shows equally the same amount of love to me and anyone who meets him. This is a kitten with unbelievable spirit, gratefulness and desire to live.
Any help towards Koa's medical costs is greatly appreciated. As we all know, medical costs can vary but I have started with a low estimate. I will continue to update you on our journey, one that is bound by unconditional love.
With Gratitude,
Rosa
