My name is Lee Hutchinson, and I am raising funds on behalf of Koa and his family.
Koa is just 14 months old.
In March, his parents, Jerica and Samson, received news no parent is ever prepared to hear.
Their little boy has a rare form of cancer.
In a moment, life changed for their whole family.
Jerica, Samson and Koa are currently at Bristol Children’s Hospital, where Koa has begun treatment. They have been told they could be there for the next 12–18 months.
At just 14 months old, Koa is facing a fight no child should have to face.
While all their attention is rightly focused on Koa and his treatment, everyday life and its costs haven't stopped.
Jerica and Samson need to travel back and forth, pay for their own food while at the hospital, manage household bills and cope with a loss of earnings.
At the same time, they are doing everything they can to maintain some sense of normality for Koa's older sister, Nella.
No parent should have to worry about how they will pay the bills or put food on the table while sitting beside their baby in hospital.
That's why we're asking for your help.
The money raised will help with travel, food, household bills, loss of earnings and the everyday costs that come with spending such a long time away from home.
It will also give the family some financial support should Koa need additional treatment as his journey continues.
Right now, Jerica and Samson need to be able to focus on what matters most.
Being beside Koa. Supporting Nella. And getting their family through the months ahead together.
There is a long and uncertain road ahead, but they don't have to walk it alone.
Please help us take some of the financial pressure away from this family while Koa receives the care he needs.
If you can donate, any amount will help.
If you can't donate, please share Koa's story. One share could help us reach someone who can.
Koa is only 14 months old. Let's surround this little boy and his family with as much love and support as we can.
Please keep Koa in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you for reading, donating and sharing.
For Koa.
