Hello friends and family,

Most of you probably know our family and some of what we have been through lately. I know times have been extremely hard for so many and I wouldn't be asking for help if it were not absolutely necessary.

On New Years day Rob went to the ER and discovered he was in kidney failure. He also had a DVT (blood clot in his leg) and a pretty significant infection.

He was transferred by ambulance that evening to another hospital an hour north of us, where he was in the ICU for about a week before moving up to the progressive unit where he continues to be cared for.

He has been receiving dialysis among several other treatments and is slowly improving but there is still a long road ahead.

Rob was already permanently disabled prior to this but now will need - at least temporarily- a full time caregiver (me).

We just cannot afford our regular living expenses plus medical, plus aftercare requirements.

He will need to travel for dialysis and physical therapy once he is discharged, as well as follow up care.

We were recently the victims of not one but two hit and run incidents that have rendered our vehicle undrivable, and the repairs more than the car is worth. I have no transportation and no means to remedy the situation. So I am humbly asking for any help available.

The goal amount is a guess, and admittedly conservative. But anything helps.

I still have 3 kiddos at home that I need to get around also, and bless their hearts, they want to find jobs to help pitch in.

There's just a lot on our plates and we would be forever grateful for any and all assistance.
