On December 21, 2025, Klaus’ life changed in an instant. While spending time with his two young children during Christmas break, he received a devastating call from his neighbors: his house was on fire, and his two dogs were in there (who are thankfully okay). He rushed home, only to find that over 70% of his house had been destroyed by the fire, and that most of his personal belongings had been lost or damaged by water. Heartbreakingly, all of his children’s Christmas presents were lost in the fire, and he was unable to give them the holiday he had hoped for. Since then, Klaus has been staying with different family members, unable to return to his own home and facing an uncertain future.

Klaus is a U.S. Marine combat veteran who has always put others before himself. Now, he needs our help. The funds raised will go directly toward helping Klaus secure temporary housing, replace essential items, and begin the long process of rebuilding his home.
