Klaus was surviving on the street, painfully thin and barely able to eat.

He is probably an elderly cat, but despite how much he has suffered, he is incredibly gentle and friendly. When we found him, even soft wet food was difficult for him to eat. We knew immediately that something was very wrong.

At the vet, we learned that Klaus’s teeth are severely rotten and painful. His blood tests also showed viral infections and liver problems. His body is simply too weak right now to undergo the dental surgery he desperately needs.

Before his teeth can be extracted, Klaus needs at least three weeks of treatment. He will be receiving antibiotics, liver-support supplements, immune-system support, nutritious food, and veterinary monitoring to help his body become strong enough for surgery.

Once his infections are under control and his condition improves, he will need dental extractions so that he can finally eat without pain.

It is heartbreaking to think about how long Klaus may have been living like this—hungry, hurting, and trying to survive while being physically unable to eat properly.

We are fundraising to cover his veterinary care, blood tests, medication, supplements, food, and the dental surgery he will need once he is stable.
