Hello everyone, my name is Koan and I'm trying to raise funds for my 5-year-old bearded dragon, Klaus, who has recently been diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma. Squamous cell carcinoma is a type of skin cancer that, in bearded dragons, forms tumors typically on the eyelids. If it's caught early enough, it should be curable.

As of right now, Klaus is very healthy in every other way, and he is still fairly young. He has the potential to live for quite a few more years, and having cancer could take that away. I want to be able to give him the longest and best life he can have, but I have already taken him in to have surgery twice and spent over $1,000 in the past five months trying to get rid of the tumors. Unfortunately, every time he heals from a surgery, more lumps pop up on a different part of his eyelids, and I don't know how long I'll be able to keep up with the costs.

I'm trying to get a second job to be able to save as much money as I can for his ongoing treatment, but I'm still a student in college and I'm also working on moving into an apartment. Once the semester starts up in August, I won't have the time to work, and a lot of my savings is going to have to go towards rent. It's unlikely for this type of cancer to spread to other parts of his body, but I don't want to take that risk and end up losing him when he's still so young. Klaus is my whole world, and it would mean so much to me to receive any donation, big or small, so that I can continue his treatment for as long as possible.
