Yesterday morning around 3am my cat KK had a severe seizure while we were laying down in bed. It was really intense but brief and she worked through it as I tried to help however I could. Once it was over, she ate and drank water and seemed to be okay, just out of it and a bit discombobulated. But within 15 minutes she had a second one, which was far more intense than the first one and had her foaming at the mouth. I rushed her to the 24hr emergency vet where they gave her a shot for her seizures but while there she had a third one on the table despite the injection so they had to give her a second emergency shot.

So in total she had three seizures within an hour yesterday morning. And she has had one before over a year ago.

The veterinarian told me that she most likely has a neurological issue going on, and it's more than likely a tumor but they had no way of knowing for sure because they didn't have an MRI machine at their location and I would have to go to a vet neurologist for something like that (which he noted would be minimum 1k)

Unfortunately, I was let go of my job very suddenly about 10 days ago without any notice. So when I got my final check I used nearly the entire thing to pay rent and bills, leaving my account low with no savings. I had a small amount of money in there that I wasn't going to touch until I found a new job, but with the sudden visit to the emergency vet yesterday it dried my bank account completely. I could only pay for just her visit and the two emergency shots she was given, and because of that they didn't do any form of thorough exam, blood work or testing on her. They wrote me a prescription for her and sent me on my way, but recommended for me to get blood work and tests immediately.

She spent all of yesterday very out of it and when she would walk, she was wobbly, had no balance, and stumbled frequently and seems confused. As the day progressed she seemed a bit more back to normal, but I can tell she's still off which concerns me greatly.

I understand that times are tough for everyone and the world is ever changing, making nearly everything more expensive by the day. I know others struggle as well which is why this was extremely difficult for me to even make one of these. But for those that know me, know how much I love my cat and how she is my entire world. I have had her since I was 12 and the thought of her suffering or losing her is incomprehensible to me.

Those that have met my cat, have been to my house or my different apartments, they know how much of a loving and sweet cat KK is. She is loveable to those around her and anyone new that came around and met her. She's a black fluffy ball of joy.

They had shown me how much the exams, blood work and tests on average would be which went up to $300, which is money I do not have currently. And just her emergency visit and shots cost $140. And her medication is going to be $50.

All of this just have caught me off guard at a really bad spot in my life currently. I really wish this was something I didn't even have to make but I have to set my embarrassment aside because I love my cat more than life and all I want is for her to be okay.
