Hello. Most of you already know us--KJ (Kristina Johnson) and G (Gwynfor Campbell)--and what we've been through. We're sheltering in a cheap hotel, after an entire team of social workers has been unable to find a place where we can stay together. And because KJ works as G's PCA (personal care assistant), any separate placements would take away not only both of our SNAP and G's state cash assistance, but also KJ's entire income. We are pursuing disability benefits as hard as we can with the help of attorneys. In the meantime, we can remain in a long-stay hotel a while to recover from all this and let the Minnesota winter end, when it'll be safe to sleep in our car, but not without help. If a small but dedicated core could each give $25-$50 per month to cover other bills, we could do this. We've asked so much of so many, but right now, we're facing checking out of this hotel tomorrow (Dec. 11th) with nowhere to go, and we definitely won't have if we don't ask, so I'm begging you.
