Hi, my name is Kiyara Roberts, and I’m a 24-year-old from the Bahamas. I’m humbly asking for your help during the most difficult and frightening time of my life.

Not long ago, I unexpectedly passed out and suffered a seizure. I was later diagnosed with a brain aneurysm caused by extremely high blood pressure. The left side of my brain was affected, and when I regained consciousness, the right side of my body was temporarily paralyzed. I spent a month in the hospital working to regain mobility and stability.

Although I’ve made progress, I am still at serious risk. My doctors have urgently recommended an angiogram—a critical diagnostic procedure that could help prevent another aneurysm, which could be fatal. Unfortunately, this equipment is not available in the Bahamas, and I have to travel to the U.S. to receive it.

The total cost of the procedure, hospital care, and travel is nearly $90,000. I do not have medical insurance, and this entire event came out of nowhere. I’m doing everything I can to survive, but I cannot do this alone.
