Help Kiyana and Clarence Rebuild After LA Fires
Donation protected
Greetings of peace, love and healing everyone,
Like countless others who have lost their homes and lives to the LA fires, Kiyana and her father Clarence also lost their home in Altadena, CA on Tuesday, January 7th. They were like many others escaping with whatever belongings they could pack, amidst clouds of smoke and fear.
The home that was lost had been in the family for over 75 years, and was part of the rich fabric of Black history and culture of the Altadena area. Their home hosted the likes of Dick Gregory and other cultural icons of the time. For more on Altadena's significance and Kiyana's family history: https://www.pushblack.us/news/little-known-black-history-altadena-california.
Kiyana has given of herself to care for her father, while also working from home in the radio, television, film industry. In one day, she lost her home and her livelihood. I know there is sooo much need, for sooo many good people right now. The loss is unfathomable. So thank you for showing up for your communities and people in your lives that were affected by LA fires.
If you're able to contribute to the Williams family, we'd be most grateful so they may rebuild their lives, and livelihoods. The funds will be used to help with living expenses for several months to a year while getting on their feet, helping with basic necessities, and relocation expenses.
Thank you for reading and any support no matter how small would be most appreciated....and thank you to all who've donated here, the family page, or the Venmo account @KiyanaMW. A simple prayer, or loving thoughts are also appreciated.
