Help Kiwi the Kitten Get Life-Saving Surgery
Donation protected
Hi! I'm desperately aiming to raise emergency funds for my 5-month-old kitten, Kiwi, to have surgery to remove an intestinal blockage. Poor guy is adorable and sweet, but he hasn't been around long enough to know that toys (especially ribbon wand toys) should never be consumed.
The doctors at the UPENN veterinary emergency room estimate the total cost of his care to be close to $10,000 if I were to do a hospital stay and surgery with them, as opposed to around $3,700 if I do the hospital stay with them and surgery at a low-cost clinic in Media, PA. $10,000 is well beyond my means, but I was able to put down half of the $3,000 down payment for the UPENN hospital stay and will have the surgery completed at the low-cost clinic by Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest.
I adopted Kiwi on a whim after suddenly losing my 11-year-old cat, Flamingo, to end-stage renal failure. Kiwi has brought joy and happiness back into my life during a pretty somber time, and I would be a wreck without him. Please share this with as many people as you can. Thank you so much!
