On Thursday, March 26th, our beloved green cheek conure, Kiwi, had a frightening accident in his cage. He fell and hurt his left leg, and after the fall, we noticed he couldn’t fly straight. We rushed him to Angell Animal Medical ER, where he was immediately placed in an incubator and started on antibiotics. The veterinarians are also monitoring him for a possible kidney issue, and he is receiving oxygen and round-the-clock care to give him the best chance at recovery.
Kiwi means the world to our family. He has brought us so much joy and laughter in the 2.5 years since he joined our home. Seeing him in distress and away from us has been heartbreaking. The medical bills, ongoing medicines, and special care he now needs are adding up quickly, and we want to do everything possible to help him heal and bring him back home where he belongs.
Any support for Kiwi would mean everything to us. We are so grateful for any help you can offer, whether it’s a donation or simply sharing his story. Your kindness will help us give Kiwi the care he needs and, hopefully, bring our little feathered friend back home to the family that loves him dearly.
