Kiwi has been my loyal companion, and lately, she’s been struggling with blood in her stool for several months. We’ve visited multiple vets to get to the bottom of it. One diagnosed colitis and prescribed antibiotics and probiotics, but the most recent vet found a hardened ridge, possibly scar tissue, and suggested we pursue a scope at a specialty hospital. The scope would allow the vets to look at Kiwi’s GI tract and see if there’s something more serious going on, or if we should proceed with treatment for irritable bowel. Kiwi has always been sensitive, so some further imaging might paint a clearer picture about what’s going on with her internally.

The funds raised will go directly toward paying for Kiwi’s scope procedure. If the vets see anything during the scope that needs a biopsy, they’ll do that as well. This has been a difficult time for us personally, as we’ve been spending all our energy trying to help a family member who is quickly progressing with dementia. On top of that, my car recently needed repairs, so we’re feeling pretty drained right now. I never ask for anything and usually keep everything to myself, but this scope price is a behemoth, and I just want to do whatever I can to help Kiwi feel better.
