Family and Friends of Kathy Rivers ~
Many of you have supported cancer causes for years—walks, runs, material and financial donations. This time cancer has hit WAY too close to home. In July of this year, Kathy Rivers (Martin) was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer.
As you know, Kathy is a very strong woman. Although the diagnosis hit hard, and was very unexpected, she has taken it head-on. The problem is that life still moves forward, and when you stop for a minute, you realize that her focus has had to change, time has been taken off work, and the bills have mounted. The last thing we want Kathy to have to worry about while she is fighting cancer is the costs to keep her life running. This fund has been established to help her with the mounting cost of treatment and to help pay for things many of us take for granted--groceries, bills, prescriptions, office visits, gas, etc.
Although she has medical insurance, many of her costs and bills are only partially covered, and several are not covered at all. This challenge would take its toll on anyone, but as a single working Mom, with one child in college, and the other a senior in high school, and her house on the market, Kathy is finding it difficult to stay above water. YOU CAN HELP! Kathy would never ask for help, so we are asking for her. Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated, used to help her with her new “normal”, and let her focus on KICKING CANCER’S A$$.
Her friends are planning other fundraisers to take some of the burden off, but this is the quickest, easiest way for you to help. THANK YOU!
