Me and my partner, Kitty, are creating this GoFundMe as our summer has given us some tremendous financial setbacks which have led to us being behind in bills and potentially having to put off gender-affirming surgeries we both have scheduled.

Earlier this summer, Kitty was afflicted by some emergency health issues which led to her having to quit her career and pick up a part-time job. Along with this sudden change in income and medical bills, we also began to move at the beginning of July. During this move, we incurred a range of setbacks and financial hurdles which led to us having to spend nearly $2000 in a month's time to keep a roof over our heads and the lights on.

While we are both blessed with having jobs, it is unfortunately not making ends meet currently with these recent debts. Working in social work doesn't necessarily pay well, but along with our health insurance for trans care, it makes funds even tighter. That, along with Kitty's recent need for changing jobs to accommodate her medical issues.

We both have gender-affirming surgeries we have either had to delay or put off till we are able to become more financially settled. This leads us here to asking our amazing community for support in this time as we try to get back on our feet, keep our housing secure, and pursue the medical pathways to feeling at home in our bodies!
