A year ago, the people of Altadena faced one of the worst catastrophes imaginable. The Eaton Fire destroyed more than 9,000 buildings and claimed at least 19 lives. My dear friend Kittie Brown has lived that horror every single day since.
Many of you reached out to support her—both spiritually and financially—and she is forever grateful for your love and generosity. But I’m reaching out again because her journey isn’t over. This isn’t a sprint; it’s a marathon.
Rebuilding your life after losing everything is physically and emotionally exhausting. Over the past year, Kittie has moved four times, navigated countless lawyers and insurance agents, and—most challenging of all—fought ongoing health issues that have only compounded the stress and anxiety of this long recovery.
I know there are many stressful and heartbreaking things happening all around us every day, but I’m asking for your continued love and support for our Kittie. If you’re able to donate to her GoFundMe, it would be deeply appreciated. All funds go directly to her basic needs—food, transportation, and other necessities—as she continues this journey.
And of course, your love, prayers, and encouragement continue to give her the strength and courage to keep moving forward.
I'm Martha Miner (I live in Chandler, AZ) a friend of Kittie Brown and I appreciate all of you so much.
