As many of you have seen, I have a floofy, orange 5 month old kitten. I know some of you know his backstory, but when he was about 4 weeks old, I nicknamed him Shart, and the name stuck. If “Shart”, isn’t your cup of tea, his “legal” name is Cheeto. <3

On Easter morning, my 5 month old kitty was the victim of an attack by two dogs. After prying him from the dog’s mouth, we were able to rush him to the hospital. The injuries he sustained are severe. His rear hind leg is dislocated, and he has multiple fractures to both his upper and lower jaw, as well as multiple puncture wounds to his head, and contusions on his lungs. He has multiple teeth missing, and there’s a deep puncture wound through the roof of his mouth that went all the way into his nasal cavity, breaking his jaw in several places. As of today (Sunday), he is being held overnight at the hospital for observation and pain management, and put on oxygen to assist him struggling to breath, because of the puncture though his nasal cavity. Tomorrow morning, he will undergo a CT scan and emergency surgery to address the extensive damage to his head and jaw. The funds raised will go directly toward his hospital stays, medication, surgery, and a feeding tube to support his recovery.
