Hello,
My name is Connie and I am a 3rd year veterinary student. I would like to introduce you to my foster: Crumb Oliver, aka Oliver Crumble.
When Crumb was about 6 weeks old, he was found in a truck engine with his entire tail degloved (skin and fur ripped off). He was brought to the local animal hospital, and I became his foster.
Although he had a rough start to life, Crumb is such a sweet and affectionate kitten. Seeing him grow from a timid boy into a playful, confident troublemaker has been extremely rewarding. Crumb loves to snuggle with me while I study, watch the hamster with his foster brother (Toast), and steal Toast’s food. At night, he curls into my chest to sleep. He is the perfect kitten and deserves so much love and happiness.
Despite our best efforts, the tail will not heal and is constantly raw. Crumb is frequently bothered by it, hence the cone. The only solution is an amputation. This procedure will help him live without pain and discomfort. He is tentatively scheduled for November 20, 2025, for this procedure with a board-certified surgeon. The procedure is quoted to be about $1500.
Please help him get out of the cone of shame by donating and sharing this fundraiser. All help is appreciated and will support Crumb in living a pain free normal kitten life and support his journey towards finding his forever home.
