Help Kita's Family Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
Kita and her family lost their home to an electrical fire yesterday, January 30th, 2025. Fortunately, no one was hurt, but they lost everything they owned and the home the knew and are left with only the clothes on their backs.
As many of you know, Kita has been part of our family for almost 20 years--first caring for our grandmother (mom's mother), Gloria, and now caring for our mother, Betsy, during her battle with dementia. We are creating this page and reaching out to friends and family in hopes they can help support Kita's family to get back on their feet after such a devastating event.
Kita lived in her home with her parents Mary & Carmichael, her sister Sharica, her son Joe (15) & daughter Joequana, and her grandchildren Derick (10), Kamoni (9), Zacarious (5), and Keriyah (1).
We ask that you please contribute what you can to this fund to support their recovery. We are also collecting donations of clothes, bedding, toys, school supplies, and any home items for the family which can be dropped off at Mom's care facility. Please contact either of us directly for details about dropping items off.
We appreciate anything you feel you can contribute at this time.
Thank you,
