Help Kit Minden, Please!

My name is Kit. I have multiple sclerosis and a number of other diseases. I guess I'll explain them as we go along. Recently I had a stroke. it has left me with greater disability. I can't type properly. I can't speak properly. I can't move properly.

Also, I can't work as a tutor right now. I haven't been able to work since mid-December. I'm running behind on income and paying my bills and would like to see if anyone can help me.This week both my water ebill and my electric bill hit the cutoff point. I used my one remaining credit card that still had a balance open, to pay both of them because my water was turned off this morning and my electricity was supposed to be turned off in another day or two. but that means I won't be able to pay my rent or get groceries. I'm having to use my grocery money to put on the electric bill every month.

I feel really uncomfortable asking because I feel like I should be doing better than this but the fact is that multiple sclerosis has screwed up my career and my income for years. I just had no room left for handling screw-ups.

Before the stroke, I was working hard at paying off our bills and getting us in shape so we could get a mortgage again and buy a house. now that's screwed up and it's going to take me at least six more months to straighten it out or longer - longer because I'm short on funds.

I'm busy applying to every assistance program available and have no idea if I'll qualify for any of them.

Most of you know my husband is a disabled Vietnam veteran who served in the 5th Special Forces and MACVSOG. You might also know that my son inherited DNA damaged from my husband's exposure to Agent Orange, so he is also disabled. That means there are three of us who are disabled living in one household together. My guys are the greatest. They really help me a lot.

I'll writemore details as this goes along I'm asking if you can help us, please. I would like to raise the funds to get us okay this year and pay off as many bills as possible so that we can get on track for buying that house.
