Kissa Von Addams, is one of Florida's most dedicated burlesque producers, a beloved bartender, and a passionate motorcycle enthusiast! She is known for working marathon shifts during events like Bike Week and for her vibrant presence in both the biker and burlesque communities. During one of those long shifts, her hip gave out, and she soon learned she would need hip reconstructive surgery.
The recovery process will be much longer than she expected. She won't be able to bartend, dance, ride, or even drive for 3-4 months, and when she is cleared to return, she'll only be able to work one night a week for several more months. This means it will be a long time before she can return to work full-time or fully participate in the communities she loves. While Kissa isn't mainly concerned about her medical bills, which can be paid over time, she is facing a tough challenge managing her monthly expenses without work. The costs of rehab, recovery, and transportation to physical therapy will also be significant. Funds raised will go directly toward her mortgage, bills, and the extra costs of recovery, helping her stay afloat during this difficult period.
Kissa has spent a long time giving to her community; she produces so many dazzling shows that provide work for local performing artists, supports fellow bikers, and works tirelessly behind the bar. Asking for help doesn’t come easy for her (this GoFundMe is happening at the encouragement of many friends). Any support will be received with deep, heartfelt gratitude. As someone who has given so much to others, she deserves to receive some kindness and support in return.
Hips are an essential tool of the trade for burlesque, so let's come together and help get those hips swaying again!
