If you know Kirt, you know he is a go-getter, goes to the gym every morning, always goes to work wanting to see the kids at school, and cares about his health. He is a proud and devoted husband, father, and papa!

After having the flu the end of January, and then it turning into bronchitis, he still wasn’t feeling well. Something was off. February 20 after seeing his PCP, transferring to Dover ER, and taking an ambulance ride to Mass General, he was told that he had leukemia. This rocked his world. It’s scary. After a week of test, bloodwork and bone marrow biopsy he started a treatment plan that is very promising. This will require 4 to 6 months of thrtapy. Weeklong stays at the hospital, followed by trips to Boston twice a week, but he gets to be home!

Kirt is a very proud man who is always wanting to help others rather then ask

for help himself. He obviously won’t be able to work and we as a family would like to take some stress away. Your donation will help towards gas, hotel stays for my

mom, or food while in Boston. We have been making trips back and forth but it would be nice if Kathy was able

to stay down sometime during his chemo.
