Hi, my name is Emily Rogge and I’m reaching out on behalf of an incredible woman—my cousin, Kirsten De Jarlais-Snell —a 35-year-old wife, mother, and fighter. She and her husband, Paul, are raising three beautiful children: Kendall (5), Gable (3), and baby Claire (8 months).
In what should have been one of the most joyful times of their lives, Kirsten received heartbreaking news: she was diagnosed with Stage IIIC triple negative breast cancer with the BRCA1 gene while in her third trimester of pregnancy with Claire. Once she delivered a healthy baby girl in September 2024, she began chemotherapy and recently faced a double mastectomy. Kirsten has completed six months of chemotherapy with potential for additional chemo due to the aggressive nature of her cancer. Currently Kirsten is healing from this major surgery while awaiting the next steps in her extensive treatment plan.
Kirsten faces a long and difficult road ahead—daily radiation, immunotherapy, and other ongoing treatment—with no clear end in sight. Her care requires daily travel from her home in Decorah, Iowa to La Crosse, Wisconsin, and she is unable to work for the foreseeable future due to the intensity of her treatment.
This diagnosis has not only taken a toll on Kirsten’s health but also placed an enormous financial burden on her family. They are doing everything they can to care for their children and keep their household running—but they need our help.
We are asking for your support to help the family manage:
• Daily transportation costs to and from treatment
• Childcare for Kendall, Gable, and Claire
• Groceries, utilities, and everyday household expenses
• Uncovered medical bills, prescriptions, and recovery care
• Lost income as Kirsten focuses entirely on healing
Your donation will provide stability, hope, and strength to a young mother and her family. Whether you can give financially or simply share this story, your support means so much.
Thank you for standing with Kirsten, Paul, and their children in this time of great need!
