Hello all! We are a couple of Kirsten’s longtime high school friends and with her OK, we have chosen to start a Go Fund Me with the hopes of raising at least $1000 to help her and her family with medical and other miscellaneous expenses associated with her treatment.

For those of you who don’t know, Kirsten was recently diagnosed with very aggressive stomach cancer at 25 years old just 3 months after having her sweet baby girl, Lura. 
The doctors from UIHC don’t know how far it has progressed until they do surgery. The plan is to remove her stomach if it hasn’t spread too far. However, if it has spread passed her stomach, then they will leave Kirsten’s stomach intact and do chemotherapy. She is also seeking a second opinion from Mayo on treatment options.

At a minimum, she will be in the hospital for 8-10 days alone with very little visiting hours due to covid. She will have a feeding tube for the first few weeks until her body can eat regular food again. Following that, Kirsten will be on a very strict diet the rest of her life. 

We are asking for donations to help ease the burden even a little bit during this time of need. Those of you who know Kirsten, know she would do anything for anyone and has regularly put others before herself. We are asking that we do the same for her now. If you cannot donate, please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers!
