Help Kirsten Recover & Rebuild Her Life After a Violent Assault

On June 11th, 2025, my 24-year-old granddaughter Kirsten suffered a brutal, life-threatening attack in Winfield, Kansas. Her best friend and room mate of five years stabbed her twice in the neck and inflicted serious defensive wounds that required 13 stitches. Authorities say he intended to kill her. Against all odds, she is alive—but her journey to recovery has just begun.

Kirsten was already facing health challenges that affected her ability to work. This horrific event has compounded her medical and emotional battles.

She is now in the process of moving in with her sister, Kyara, but needs a stable home of her own soon. She'll require ongoing medical care, including specialist treatment and trauma-related therapy, as well as legal representation as a witness in complex proceedings surrounding her attacker's finances. We will also seek a civil legal action to help her recover physically and emotionally.
