2 weeks ago I was Los Angeles for work, and I ended up in some of the worst pain in my life. I found out that I needed a root canal. I spent an hour in agony trying to find someone to help me last minute, and ended up getting the work done by a dentist who’s work I now question.
As soon as I finished the antibiotics, my symptoms returned with a vengeance. Excruciating pain and swelling. I found out that I need a root canal on a different tooth, and possibly a third. In the xray with the red circle, you can see how large this infection is.
This unexpected medical crisis is potentially life threatening and has caused tremendous financial burden. I am still in the waiting period for Major care through my dental insurance, so I will receive no coverage for this procedure. I’m looking at almost $1700, this number does not include the root canal that I already had done or the other potentially infected tooth. I set the goal to $3,000 which is a less than the cost of two root canals - remember, I might need a third
