Support Kirk Nuthak & Lincoln Ottersbach After Tragic Pedestrian-Vehicle Collision
According to a press release, Jeffersonville Police went to the corner of Pearl and West Maple Streets around 12:46 a.m. to check out a car crash. When they got there, they found that a car had hit two people who were walking.
Both people hit — adult men — were not awake when police arrived. They were taken to the hospital to get medical help. Police said one of the men later woke up, but he had serious injuries.
Police said the driver, Fox, is facing charges for driving while drunk. He is being charged with two counts of causing serious injury and one count of putting others in danger while driving under the influence.
The two victims were identified as Kirk Nuthak and Lincoln Ottersbach. Nuthak’s family said he broke many bones and needed a breathing tube after the crash.
Ottersbach’s family said he also broke many bones, and some will need surgery. He was supposed to get married on Saturday, but the wedding had to be delayed. Nuthak and his wife are expecting their first baby in November.
How You Can Help:
We’re raising money to support both families with medical expenses, hotel stays, meals, and any recovery needs over the coming weeks and months. Any amount helps, and your support means the world.
If you’re not in a place to donate, we ask for your continued prayers, love, and thoughts for Kirk, Link, and their loved ones. And please — honor their story by never drinking and driving. Call a friend, Uber, Lyft — anything. This was entirely preventable.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for showing up for these two incredible men and their families.
