Help Kirk and his family fight Leukemia, again.
On December 2, 2024 Kirk and his wife Elisha received news that they thought they never would again, "Your Leukemia is back." As some of you know, Kirk was first diagnosed with AML Leukemia on December 18, 2023. He fought a hard and courageous battle, which included lengthy hospital stays, many blood and platelet transfusions, many painful bone marrow biopsies and a slew of more treatments over 7 months. He was declared in complete remission in June, 2023. Missing Christmas with his wife and kids was a huge blow as this is the families favorite holiday to spend together. Kirk was also off work for 6.5 months and that was tough to be away from his job that he loves.
Fast forward to this new diagnosis. Kirk found out today, the Leukemia is back and it's the same that he got before. Treatment initially will be the same, 30+ days in the hospital, many bone marrow biopsies, many blood and platelet transfusions, etc. This new relapse diagnosis will also require Kirk to get a bone marrow transplant, already adding to a complicated situation. This will also cause Kirk to be out of work for another 6-7 months. Elisha and the kids will also be without Kirk at home for Christmas yet again this year.
With his positive attitude, the help of many of you, the family will get through this and have a wonderful future on the other side of this terrible disease. Please consider donating anything you can and prayers and positive thoughts are always appreciated. God Bless you all and have a Merry Christmas.
