Help Kirk and Crystal’s Family Rebuild After Fire

I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of my brother Kirk and his family.

On Sunday, March 23rd, my brother's house caught fire. Kirk and his wife, Crystal, were in the office when the fire alarm went off. They rushed to the kitchen where they found a fire on the stove.

Kirk grabbed the fire extinguisher provided by the landlord, only to find that it did not work. It was found later that it had expired in 1980.

Kirk and Crystal rushed their 4 children, 2 dogs, and one of their cats out of the house. They couldn't find their cat Loki. Loki was mistakenly locked in a bathroom by firefighters attempting to contain the fire. He did not make it.

The entire first level of the house was destroyed. Much of the second floor was damaged. Most of their possessions were lost to fire and smoke.

We are grateful that the family was unharmed and heartbroken at the loss of Loki. Insurance will not be an option to cover any of the losses.

I am starting this campaign as the family will need to start from scratch with clothes, bed furniture, and finding a place to live. This displaced a family of 6 and 3 animals.
