Help Kirby Through Kidney Transplant Journey

Donation protected
As many of you are aware, I have been experiencing kidney failure for the past four to five months. I have been on PD dialysis for just seven weeks and I had prepared myself to do this for a long period of time. After all, I have been an insulin dependent diabetic for 35 years and having to do at home medical treatments to live life was nothing new to me. Last Wednesday, I had a visitor come by and visit who I thought was bringing some food for me and the girls to enjoy. Along with the food came a huge announcement that they have been through the testing process at UAB and they have found out there are a match to donate a kidney to me.
In due time, this gracious and loving person will be identified by most all of you. God is Great! He has put this opportunity on their heart to be a donor, a lifesaver. We are told in God’s word that as you serve your neighbor, your family, and your friends, you are also serving Jesus. I have known my donor for several years. We have raised children at the same ages during the entire time here in the Northside community. We have played multiple sports against each others kids and sometimes together on the same teams. Somewhere in the past 20 years, I made an impression to where someone wants to step up and help me when I need it the most. This just shows how important relationships mean to me. This shows much relationships should mean to all of us. Show love, kindness, respect to others; commit to teaching others how to live life; spend time working with other neighbor’s kids and then later reap rewards from such acts of kindness.
I will never ever be able to pay back on this Earth for what I am about to receive. I can only lift up in praise to God that someone is willing to be the Hands and Feet of Jesus Christ to me!
I continue to ask everyone to please continue to pray not just for me, but also my family who has been taking care of me through this chapter of life. I now ask that each of also pray for my donor and their family that God will bless them richly!
Praise God to Whom All Blessings Flow!! Thank you UAB!! Thank you Davita!! Thank you NHR and family!!

I am scheduled for the transplant either the first or second week of June. There are going to be out of pocket expenses. Me and my family will be in Birmingham for a month to have blood work done daily. I also have to pay for the first three months of medications. If you like to help our family out. You can donate through gofundme.
