Hello! My name is Kendra and I own Kirby, a 3 year old Corgi. He was recently diagnosed with elbow dysplasia and requires a CT scan as well as a surgery to correct his elbow by cutting his ulna bone/take out any floating bone fragments.
This recent injury has caused us to put a halt on all of his favorite things, including walks, hikes and dog sports. We want to do the surgery sooner rather than later to get him back into enjoying his life as well as prolonging the inevitable arthritis that’ll happen.
He does have insurance thankfully but the money will also go towards needed PT (not covered by insurance), any additional follow-ups, etc as well as keeping him happy and comfortable during recovery, on top of going towards the cost of surgery as the whole cost is required up front. Thank you for reading! ❤️
UPDATE: his CT showed that he unfortunately has bilateral elbow dysplasia, needing arthroscopy in both elbows. This adds an additional $600 to his surgery. Thank you to everyone who has donated! Kirby and I appreciate everyone so much ❤️
