Help Kirby fight Stage 4 cancer
Donation protected
My father, Kirby Litchfield was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung and Brain Cancer, and he is getting ready to start the fight of his life. He is scheduled to start radiation asap to target the tumors in his brain, and additional tests are being done to determine the next steps. I started this GoFundMe to raise financial support for travel, treatment, special dietary needs, and any other unexpected expenses he will face. No one can plan for all the costs accompanying cancer treatment, from increased gas costs for daily appointments to additional prescription medication. These unexpected costs are a strain to any budget, but it can be felt even harder on someone on a fixed budget during their retirement years.
Kirby was born and raised in Berkely County, SC. He is a son, brother, father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He has also been blessed with friends that are like family. If you don’t personally know him, you probably know someone who loves him dearly. He has worked hard his entire life and has always been willing to help others, even if that put a strain on him. I have never heard him complain. So now is our time to help him!
All funds raised will go into an account that will give my dad and bonus mom, Sally, the ability to help relieve the burden of any additional costs as they come up. Please help me take away a little of the stress they are facing and will continue to face during this battle. My wish is that my dad can focus all his energy on healing and Sally can focus on the hands-on care he needs. Neither of them should have to worry about finances in addition to the extreme stress that comes with a cancer diagnosis.
Our whole family is forever grateful for any support, love, and prayers. I will post updates as they become available. For those who don't know me, my name is Angel Valentine, and I am Kirby's youngest daughter. Please join me in helping my dad.
