Hey there! I’m Kira — an artist, storyteller, and maker, soon stepping into parenthood for the first time.

Right now, I draw on a One by Wacom tablet, which doesn’t have a screen, so I have to look at a separate monitor while I draw. It’s tough on my hand-eye coordination, slows me down, and makes it harder to create professional-level work.

Back in 2018, I was accepted into IUPUI’s Visual & Communications Design program after graduating high school early. It was an amazing validation of my skills and potential, but I couldn’t go because I couldn’t afford tuition on my own. That experience has stuck with me — it motivates me to keep pushing, growing, and creating, no matter what.

Now I want to take a step I can control. I’m hoping to fund a refurbished iPad Air 4 and Apple Pencil 2 so I can finally draw directly on-screen, improve my workflow, and take professional commissions. Buying refurbished is important to me — I want to reduce environmental impact while still getting a tool that really works for me.

Here’s roughly how the $500 goal will be used:

-Refurbished iPad Air 4 (64GB, Wi-Fi) — ~$274

-Apple Pencil 2 (used/refurb) — ~$47

-Protective case, screen protector, and small extras — ~$40–50

-Platform fees / buffer — remainder

With this setup, I can:

-Make higher-quality art faster

-Accept commissions and start growing a sustainable freelance career

-Share process videos, sketches, and free art for the community

-Give donors updates and show exactly what your support helped me achieve
