- My name is Kira; most of you know me. I've been out of work since January. I was diagnosed with common variable immunodeficiency disease and continued getting infections working as an RN at my place of employment. I have worked in healthcare since I was 17. I have creditors calling daily. NURSING, IS ALL I KNOW, and truly what I love. I put myself at risk going to grocery stores and things off that sort, but working around people is bad for the risk of infection and that's not to mention my chronic pain and migraines i have suffered with for many years. Any help would be appreciated. My youngest daughter will be going to immunologist soon as she may have inherited this disease from me. Pray she hasn't. I have 3 girls I'm trying to keep things together for. School is starting soon, obviously, along with bills falling behind, school supplies and clothes shopping will be hitting very quickly.
