While on vacation in Grand Marais, Kira slipped on stone steps and broke her right ankle in three places, and also her left foot in two places. She will need surgery to repair her severe fractures and burst tendon in her right ankle. Because both of her ankles/feet have broken bones, she is bedridden and in a lot of pain.

Her surgery will be on October 9th, and then there will be a long road to recovery afterwards with months of rehabilitation.

Everything has been adding up quickly with all of the medical expenses, medical supplies, and general other expenses.

As many of you know, Kira has had many surgeries in the past for her endometriosis, and she was finally feeling healthy and strong after her lung and abdominal surgeries and emergency hospital stay in Atlanta, Georgia, in 2020. Now, four years later, this is really a setback and has been very difficult for us to go through again. Kira has experienced so much pain in her life, and it’s so hard that she has to experience so much more again.
