Hello everyone! My name is Christine but everyone knows me as “King”. My heart is incredibly heavy as I write this. As many of you know, I relocated from Saipan to Guam five months ago, but Saipan will always be my home. Watching my family and friends endure such devastating loss from a distance has been a pain I can’t quite describe.
In the past, during every typhoon or tsunami warning, my home was their sanctuary, we stayed together to keep each other safe. Now, knowing their homes and their peace have been wrecked while I am not there to hold them, I feel a sense of helplessness.
The pain of being away while my family suffers is heavy. My stepmom is doing everything she can to care for my four siblings in the middle of this disaster, and it breaks my heart that I can't be there to help her. My second family, who has always treated me like their own daughter, is now facing a wrecked home. The flooding was so severe it almost reached waist-high, and their door was even blown open during the height of the storm, leaving them completely exposed.
I know so many are hurting right now, but I am reaching out to the goodness of your hearts to ask for any small donation to help my family get back on their feet. Any bit of kindness would mean the world to us.
As I strive to be an instrument for my family’s recovery, ALL FUNDS will be used to provide the "daily bread" my family needs right now. We are supporting two households in their recovery—from providing clean water, food, and gas for basic needs to replacing the furniture, beds, and clothes ruined by the typhoon. Ensuring my five siblings and the rest of my family have their everyday necessities to stay healthy and safe. Your kindness is the answer to our prayers as we rebuild their lives, one small step at a time.
Thank you for your kindness and for keeping us in your prayers.
God bless,
King
