Help King get healthy!

Well, our family has some crazy news!

 

Awhile back, we shared about a dog named King. King looks exactly like Rosie and has the same disability, and is from the same area Rosie was found in. His owner was battling some severe drug and mental health issues but was refusing to give King up. Others as well as myself tried our best to help by sending food and other items from Amazon and even paying for a vet visit.

 

The other night, we got a message from someone who has been trying to help King for a LONG time. She sent me a picture of him and asked if I had room for one more. I thought it was a joke at first, but she said that Kings owner had been found dead and she picked up King after multiple days of him being alone in the house with his dead owner.

 

He’s skinny, but otherwise looks in decent health. We are getting him this weekend, and plan to get him the vet care he needs- he already has a neuter date set for the end of the month. We’re raising money for his vet care and then to hopefully revamp his diet and give him the love he deserves!

 

Here are some expenses we know we will incur right away: 

$420 neuter that includes continuous tech monitoring and pre anesthetic bloodwork 

$200-$400 wellness exam with heartworm test, probably some meds for skin issues

$300 double stroller for him and Rosie 

$90 K9 sports sack for hikes 

$70 Tacrolimus eye drops (they last about 3 months) 

$90 per month for OC raw food 

I’m setting a goal of $1500 to cover these things as well as some fun expenses, like spoiling him with toys and treats and hopefully getting him and Rosie DNA tests!
