Dear friends, family, and kind strangers,
We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for help for our dog, King. He was recently diagnosed with cancer and is also dealing with heart issues, and our family is doing everything we can to give him the care and treatment he deserves. He has always been there for us emotionally, in ways only a dog like him can be. On hard days, he somehow just knows when to sit beside you and offer comfort.
When Monica was little, King would walk down the driveway with her every single morning and wait at the bus stop by her side. That's just one of the many examples of how loyal and loving he is. Every Fourth of July, King was the dog everyone looked forward to seeing. He greeted every family member at our parties with excitement, love, and a wagging tail that never stopped. He made those gatherings feel complete. King has always loved to run. During Amber’s high school years, he ran with her almost every day in the summer—those runs weren’t just exercise, they were special bonding moments. In more recent years, Monica and King discovered the park in Southbury, where King found so much joy going to run freely, play, and just be his happy self.
Seeing him now struggle has been incredibly hard for all of us. We are asking for help to cover his medical bills so we can continue fighting for him and give him the best chance possible. Any donation, no matter the amount, truly means the world to us. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this would also help us more than you know. Thank you for taking the time to read King’s story and for helping us give back to our dog who has given us so much love.
