Hey everyone,
Last week, our 7-year-old pup, King, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, an aggressive form of bone cancer. To give him the best chance at a healthy, happy future, he needs life-saving care, including amputation surgery and chemotherapy.
King has been part of our family since he was just 10 weeks old, sharing in some of our most meaningful milestones. He’s been there through my husband’s medical school journey, a cross-country move from Texas to Washington, D.C., the start of residency, our marriage, and the birth of our son.
As we approach the end of our chapter in the DMV, we can’t imagine saying goodbye to our hyperactive old man before we have the chance to settle down in a couple of years and finally give him the proper yard he deserves.
The surgery to remove the tumor in his hind leg will cost around $5,000, and he’ll need 4 to 5 rounds of chemotherapy at $907 each session. Any amount, big or small, makes a difference and brings us one step closer to keeping King healthy and by our side.
King has given us so much unconditional love and loyalty; now we’re doing everything we can to give back. Your support would mean the world to our family as we fight to keep King by our side.
Thank you for your generosity, kindness, and love.
