Help Kindred Continue Her Vital Therapy

Hello. My name is John Gavin White and I am a 43 year old, professional writer (poet/essayist) and father of two homeschooled daughters - Kindred (14) and Empathy (11).

Last June, my eldest, Kindred, found herself perpetually overwhelmed with anxiety and, in response to that, she began purposefully cutting herself. Since then, I have been paying for therapy sessions out of pocket, and this is in tandem with speech therapy as well, given that Kindred has been dealing with serious stuttering issues . But with other upcoming expenses this new year (tutoring/dance/martial arts, etc.), I simply did not have the finances to continue Kindred's therapy sessions past September / October and this is where Gofundme comes in. Surprisingly, support has been constant and sincere, and, frankly, it's quite humbling.

Originally, the goal was 5,000, but haaving surpassed that in January, the goal is now $10,000 and this would ensure my daughter's therapy sessions are covered throughout the end of spring into the summer (It's $250 total for attending therapy sessions twice weekly).
