Help Kimiko get back on her feet and honor Joe's legacy

My name is Kimiko Sakai. In 1993, I met U.S. Marine photographer Joe O'Donnell.
He had been assigned to document the effects of the atomic bombs during World War II, and his photo book was published in 2005.
Joe's work has been featured in exhibits across the United States and Japan, aimed at exposing the horrible effects of nuclear war and the plight of the bomb victims.
Joe and I became close friends and married in 1997 in Nashville, Tennessee. Our time together was wonderful, but Joe passed away in 2007.
Our goal of arranging exhibitions of Joe’s photographs was shattered last year when I fell victim to an online scam after corresponding with someone whom I thought I could trust.
He suggested we invest together, and I foolishly agreed. As a result, I lost our life savings of more than $300,000.
I hope this appeal will enable me to secure my future and continue to fund Joe’s exhibitions as I promised him I would.
I am grateful that you have listened to my request. Thank you.
