I received Miss Kimiko as a gift in the summer of 2025, and for the past seven months she has been the sweetest kitten in the world. She is very vocal, full of personality, and loves to snuggle when it’s time to go to bed. She quickly became a huge part of our family.

On the evening of January 2nd, I noticed something was very wrong. Kimiko began acting strangely. Growling, walking slowly and unsteadily, and then dragging her legs. When she hit a wall, she would drag her head along it until she reached a corner of the room.

She has since become extremely lethargic, has a blank stare, refuses to eat, is limp, has diarrhea, and suffered a seizure at home. I took her to an emergency pet hospital late that night, but unfortunately due to lack of funds, there was only so much they could do. The only thing they were able to tell me is that she currently cannot see, but they do not yet know what is causing her condition.

All funds raised will go directly toward getting Kimiko the diagnostic testing, treatment, and care she urgently needs.

Kimiko is deeply loved, not only by me, but also by my daughter. I truly believe she is fighting to stay alive. On January 3rd, she showed small but hopeful signs of improvement. She began drinking water from a syringe, her eyes started to gently blink when I waved my hand in front of her face, and she responds when I scratch her favorite spots around her head, often relaxing enough to fall asleep.
