Help Kimi Navigate Life After Dave's Passing

Dear Friends and Community,

It is with a heavy heart that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of David Schmand, a beloved member of the heat-treating travel community. For decades, David dedicated his life to supporting traveling technicians and other engineers, always offering a helping hand and a kind word. His calm demeanor, kind heart, and willingness to work will not soon be forgotten.

David’s passing due to heart failure on the job in Atlanta, GA has left us all in shock and unprepared. His wife of 15 years, Kimi, is now facing this difficult time without the amount of support most of us expect. To add to the challenge, the engine of his truck blew on the way home from Atlanta, Georgia to Michigan while his good friend Mark was returning his personal items, leaving her without a vehicle.

We are reaching out to ask for your support during this challenging time. Any contribution, no matter how small, will help provide some much-needed relief and ensure that Kimi can navigate this period with a little less worry.
