**Help Kimi Battle Ovarian Cancer with Life-Saving Medication**

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share the story of our beloved Kimi, who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer last year. After a successful surgery to remove the tumor, Kimi now faces the next critical phase of her treatment: preventing the remaining cancer cells from growing and metastasizing.

To achieve this, Kimi has been prescribed Zejula, a life-saving medication specifically designed to block the spread of ovarian cancer, she has less than a weeks supply left. While we are incredibly grateful for her insurance, it only covers a portion of the medication's cost, leaving Kimi with an overwhelming expense of over $9,000 each month. If she meets a one month out of pocket of $9450 for the medication, she will meet her enormous deductible. Then the insurance company will have to pay for the Zejula in full for the remaining 2 months until she’s eligible for Medicare in September.

Kimi has been a dedicated school bus driver for decades, safely transporting our children to and from school with a warm smile and a kind heart. Over the past year, she has tirelessly pursued every available avenue to manage this expense. She has applied for grants and assistance programs offered by drug manufacturers, but despite her best efforts, these resources have been exhausted, and also denied. Appeals are in the works but due to policy the manufacturer GSK have in place the appeal will be denied as well. The financial burden remains immense, and it’s a challenge we cannot overcome alone.
