Help Kimchi Overcome Neurological FIP
Donation protected
Meet Kimchi! Kimchi was rescued from downtown Kuwait City. We saw her when we were booking a trip for our rescued cat to travel to the United States, where their chances of finding a home are higher. Kuwait cats often face very grim circumstances; they are dumped, abused, and overlooked.
Despite her rough start to life, Kimchi is the sweetest girl! She was found not too far from a Korean restaurant, hence her name. She was so friendly and loving. We realized that she is too trusting to be in the streets. She had some nasal discharge and teeth issues. But we treated, spayed, and vaccinated her to ensure she was healthy for her new family!
She was all set to travel to the US to find her forever home and flew to Washington DC on March 26th. Fancy Cats and Dogs kindly agreed to take her under their care last minute. Once she arrived to the US, she was doing great at her foster, but unfortunately health issues rapidly appeared. She first started with nasal discharge and lack of appetite, then she became wobbly. She was rushed to the vet to determine what was wrong with her.
Turned out poor Kimchi had developed Neurological FIP from the stress of her big trip from Kuwait. Luckily, there is now treatment for but her care is incredibly costly. We need to purchase treatment and pay for her vet fees. Neurological FIP requires a higher concentration of medication and unfortunately is even more expensive.
We are so grateful for Fancy Cats to have accepted Kimchi under their care and put Kimchi with a wonderful foster giving her around the clock care. Her amazing foster managed to improve her condition that was critical.
We cannot thank the team of fancy cats enough. They are helping us but they are a small rescue with limited resources. We encourage you to check their website below and help them in anyway you can, volunteering or donations.
Please help us pay for Kimchi's care and help her bring her back to health so we find her a forever loving home. Kimchi is a warrior and we won't let her down!
