Help Kimbo Heal After Dog Attack
Donation protected
Kimbo will have surgery done to his foot that was fractured in a dog attack. He is five years old, loves to eat, and is the most chill cat ever. He is a sweetheart and is an important member of our family. We recently lost my little brother suddenly in December, and it seems like ever since this, our family cannot catch a break. We were not prepared for all that came with losing a family member, especially one that was so young and had what we felt was like his whole life ahead of him. We were blindsided and had to find the money to pay for his burial services. Our family consists of him, my parents, my husband, and me. We do not have any relatives that could or would help us. We are on our own, and we go through things together. Following that, our oldest furry family member got very sick, and we had to come out of pocket $4,000 in January. We are still making credit card payments for that to this day. When Kimbo got hurt, we were beside ourselves and took him to the vet right away. We were grateful he was alive and had hoped that he had only suffered puncture wounds and scratches. Unfortunately, our vet found that two of his metatarsal bones in his little foot were fractured, and he would need pins put in to fix him. We had already paid $990 for them to examine him and clean his wounds and were once again not prepared. We are living check to check on a daily basis and have no idea how we will pay off his surgery. All we know is that it is a complicated surgery and it had to be done for him to heal properly. Our family handles our problems together. We have never asked for money from anyone, but if anybody is willing to extend a hand, no matter how big or small, we would appreciate it. We are beside ourselves that we even have to make a GoFundMe, but we are stuck between a rock and a hard place. Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
