Kimber was one the sweetest Danes I’ve ever met. She was six years old and one of the best dogs- gentle, loving, perfect disposition- a dream dog. She was in boarding when she started to develop symptoms and was taken to the vet on 8/1. The vet advised that she had bloat and a twisted spleen and she wouldn’t survive without surgery. Her family was out of state and faced with the hardest decision - surgery or to let her go. After getting the estimate, her family advised that they couldn’t afford it and applied for Scratchpay- unfortunately, they were denied. They thought they only had one option… then a friend offered to pay for it upfront as long as they’d make monthly payments until they were paid back. Unfortunately, her heart stopped as they were about to finish the procedure.
This family is already going through enough.. losing their best friend and not even being able to say goodbye. I recently lost my Dane at the end of last year and I know how it feels- it’s the worst pain I’ve ever been though.. I’ve still been struggling with it. Please donate to them so they can be unburdened financially.
