Help Kimberly Through Her COVID-19 Journey
Donation protected
Hello! My name is Nicole, I am Kim’s daughter and am currently her voice as she continues to fight against COVID-19 and the horrific grasp it holds on her. She was first sick back in the middle of November and began her hospital stay on Thanksgiving Day, 2021. Through out that time she has fought nearly everything Covid could’ve brought and is still fighting even till today.
She has been transferred to the ICU, has tried every breathing treatment available but still unfortunately resulted on relying on a ventilator for continued support. She quickly declined while on the ventilator and was ordered a RotoProne bed (as seen in the picture) making it to where she is at constant motion and is able to go from her back to her stomach without much effort. She is a very active, up beat, healthy 56 year old who just happened to catch the worst of this seemingly never ending virus.
Although her story sounds worrisome, she is starting to move in the right direction and show progress! She has responded well so far to her transition and looks to have a fighting chance now that she’s relaxed and able to rest.
You would be donating to her continued support as her insurance does have a “max” limit they are willing to pay. We are currently going to stay here at the hospital until she is able to transfer but if she can continue fighting through this- she is looking at a long recovery ahead in a Rehab Facility. There, she can get the help she needs to gain back her oxygen production, through physical therapy, respiratory therapy and occupational therapy. We know Her insurance will stop coverage eventually and that’s why we are reaching out for help to see if anyone would like to contribute.
My mom is one of the most kind people I’ve ever met, a teacher within the special education program and a best friend to her grandson, Marley. She keeps our family together and we are praying as hard as we all possibly can. Thank you for reading her journey and We appreciate even just a simple prayer if you can’t donate. Anything means the world to our family and especially to momma Kim ❤️
